Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Adheres to Integer’s Values and all safety and quality requirements.

  • Support EHS Manager on EHS matters related to associate safety, environmental protection, property protection, and process safety in a manufacturing environment

  • Complete policies, programs, and initiatives to ensure EHS compliance and achieve company goals.

  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of new laws, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Lead efforts, projects and cross-functional EHS tams in the direction of a continuously improving work environment that is safe and environmentally friendly.

  • Ensure required records, permits, and reports are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines by local, state, and federal agencies.

  • Train new and existing associates on company policies, procedures and regulations as required by regulations and best practices.

  • Identify hazardous workplace conditions, perform and document job hazard analysis, and coordinate activities to ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented.

  • Respond on workers compensation and return to work programs.

  • Review, measure, audit and report on efforts in attaining compliance with EHS laws, regulation, company policies and best practices to all levels of the organization.

  • Perform internal audits and inspections of facility and operations.

  • Emergency Response Team member proficient in hazmat, incipient fire, medical l, and other potential emergencies.

  • Liaison for government agencies emergency responders.

  • Coordinate removal of hazardous materials and waste.

  • Performs other functions as required.

Education & Experience:

BS Degree in engineering, safety, science or other EHS related field.

3-5 years experience in EHS in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge & Skills:

Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations including process safety, emergency response, hazardous materials transportation, air permitting, water permitting, ergonomics, a d worker’s compensation. Training and certifications preferred: first Aid, CPR & AED, RCRA, DOT, IATA, and Hazwopper.

Special Skills:

Attention to detail, well organized, and able to solve problems. Time Management Skills. Public speaking, with good communication and leadership skills. Ability to work independently, as well as a team. Lead, motivate and positively influence others.
