Wenck is seeking a Civil Engineer with an emphasis in solid waste to build a legacy through developing client relations and building a strong team of technical professionals. This position is located in our Fargo, North Dakota office. This Civil Engineer will be responsible for management of client and staff relations as well as for project and staff performance. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for business development, for leading, managing and team building, and for supporting and managing solid waste design and construction related services. Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical, Engineering, or equivalent Minnesota Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain in 1 year Minimum of 4-8 years of progressive civil engineering design experience with an emphasis in industrial by products, environmental compliance, and solid waste. Proficiency in spoken and written English, with the ability to interact with project teams as well as clients, including representing clients during public meetings and events. Knowledge of applicable waste management legislation including environmental assessment requirements and the approvals application process Proven knowledge and skills of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Possess a valid driver s license. Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, hard-working, and enjoys learning. Responsibilities: Execute public outreach, branding efforts, marketing and client communications. Position the company for regional growth in our engineering market and additional Wenck services. Lead, coordinate and delegate; proposal, contract, administration and project management efforts (experience in Deltek CRM a plus) Responsible charge and direct supervision over professional and technical staff. Manage multiple projects in developing plan sets, specifications, budgets, schedules to exceed our clients expectations. Collaboration with other company internal groups and disciplines and sub-consultants. Professional engineering design and project oversight including Quality Assurance and Quality Control. Travel for multiple days on occasion for meetings and to support project teams in other offices and construction oversight. Salary: Commensurate with education, training, and experience.
