Sr. Manufacturing Engineer 173019-313 Imperial Plastics is adding a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to their Mora, MN based team. This individual will be technical in nature, have good communication and organizational skills. This position will support new product development, continuous improvement and corporate initiatives. * Provides support to Manufacturing through: - Leading continuous improvement/lean initiatives to reduce costs, resulting in cycle time reduction, process step elimination - Develop mold/tooling preventative maintenance management strategy - Corrective Action Processing - Project Management - Equipment development and research - Customer Quality and Productivity improvement projects - Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout - Purchases products for plant improvements, including automation and robotics. - Writes capital justifications to analyze return on investments. * Identify and resolve issues relating to molds and tooling cross functionally * Identifies projects without receiving direction from supervisor and completes projects with minimal support * Supports the manufacturing operation on a daily basis to ensure production of product * Troubleshoot design or process issues, identifying root cause and implementing improvements * Drive site adoption of Six Sigma, Lean, and other performance improvement methodologies * Analyzes processes and creates methods for process and quality monitoring including development of and reporting of metrics * Facilitates Kaizen events * Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions * Capacity modeling * Technical expert in Lean Manufacturing tools and principles including set-up reduction, standardized work, value stream mapping, Heijunka and A3 thinking * Perform cost/benefit analyses * Works with customers in support of operations and sales to solve problems with products * Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills * Ability to learn quickly and work independently * Accuracy and attention to detail required * Organizational skills and neatness * Ability to communicate well with people at various levels * Strong problem solving skills * Possess strong interpersonal skills and business ethics * Ability to deal with changing priorities * Bachelor s degree in Engineering with 3-5 years of experience in an applicable Manufacturing environment or 8-10 years with 2 year degree * Experience in plastic injection molding * Experience with tool and die repair * Experience with fixture design and end of arm design/programming * Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team environment under timelines * Demonstrated desire for continuous improvement * Demonstrated positive attitude Mora, Minnesota, United States Full-Time/Regular Apply Here: PI102456872
